Neil Triffett is a Melbourne-based film practitioner. Neil's debut feature EMO the musical premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2016.
Neil's shorts have screened locally and internationally from Edinburgh to Palm Springs. The short film version of EMO received a ‘Special Mention’ at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2014.
Neil has received Development and Production Funds from Screen Australia, Short film completion funds in 2013, and was awarded the Most Outstanding Undergraduate student at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2011.
In 2014, Neil visited Los Angeles on a Screen Australia supported international development attachment with U.S. producers Lin Pictures (The Lego Movie), in 2013 he completed an AD attachment on Ariel Klieman’s Partisan, gained valuable industry experience in the production office of the ABC’s telemovie Cliffy, and was employed by Platform Youth Theatre as a Digital Storyteller in Residence in 2014.
Neil is currently in development on several feature films and web concepts.
